KF4YWW Jay Brown Crossville,TN USA Henry was uniquely exceptional. He had many interests and a great talent for accomplishment in his many areas of interests. I was privileged to have known him through high school and college, and to have served with him in the 316th Army Band during the Korean Conflict. After many years of separation, we connected again a few years ago, and stayed in touch by visits, ham radio and email. He was a most delightful person, well liked and admired. I am highly rewarded by our association and friendship.

Allan Savage Las Cruces,NM USA It is a privilege and a pleasure to join HSHRC along with other friends and family members of my cousin Henry. I'll never forget the first time that we met -- he showed me his ham radio setup and demonstrated how it worked. He was so enthusiatic about it, as he was about everything that he did, which made him such a joy to be around. I am glad to know that his call will continue to be on the air.
Bobby Wynne Dallas,TX USA Henry "Hinky" Savage has been a close friend since 1944. We learned to fly at the same time, same airport, same instructor. He was a fine guy and a good friend. I will never forget working with Hink on the Texas City disaster on his ham radio for about 18 hours the day it happened. We relayed messages from the site. This was a terrible disaster and many were killed and injured. Ham radio was probably the only channel of communication open for some time. Hink and I stuck to our guns to get many sad messages through. I am proud to be numbered among Hink's friends and I thank all of you for remembering him in this way. God Bless Henry Savage. Bobby Wynne Dallas, Texas (Nashville is my home town. I graduated from Vandy, Engineering Class of 1951)
